So, you’re going to Jamaica for your honeymoon, and want a little adventure? Do you love thrill seeking activities? Then you’ve definitely chosen the perfect Caribbean island for your trip. There are so many exciting things to do in Jamaica. Here are a few of my favorites.
1. Bobsledding
And you thought Cool Runnings was just a fictional movie? Think again! Just outside Ocho Rios you can try out Jamaican bobsledding, just like the movie and the real Olympic team. Hop on a custom-designed, high-tech sled and let gravity be your guide for this exhilarating ride through the forest. With the track installed along the side of the mountain and the views are breathtaking.
2. Biking the Blue Mountains
Get outside and enjoy the fresh Jamaican air with a delightful downhill ride through the majestic Blue Mountains. The tour has plenty of stops to experience the island culture and photograph the landscape and panoramic views. There are even opportunities to cool off in a waterfall or two.
3. Rent ATVs
Climb aboard your own ATV and explore the real Jamaica. You’ll have unparalleled access to the untouched hills and plains of this beautiful Caribbean island.
4. Dunn’s River Falls
Just a stone’s throw from Ocho Rios, Dunn’s River Falls is one of Jamaica’s national treasures and most popular tourist destinations. Visitors join hands and make the 600-foot climb to the top for picturesque views. You can’t visit Jamaica without a trip to Dunn’s River Falls.
5. Cliff Jumping at Rick’s Café
This is not for the faint of heart or those who are afraid of heights!! One of the most popular spots in Negril is Rick’s Café, home to the most amazing sunsets and cliff jumping!! Yes, a 30-foot leap off the cliffs and straight into the Caribbean Ocean. I personally haven’t done this one but did enjoy sipping a few cocktails and watching others take the leap.
