Sandals Newest Resort

On the unspoiled island of St. Vincent

The island of St Vincent had only a few small inns prior to the construction of the Sandals property. This resort is the first and only sizeable resort on this beautiful and unspoiled paradise.

Sandals invited their top worldwide travel advisors to Sandals St Vincent for an exclusive event called Star Awards.
I was privileged to be part of that group and spent a wonderful week at this brand-new resort.

Perfect for Weddings

The setting of the resort can only be described as gorgeous. It is tucked into its own little cove among mountains and a flowing river. Lush tropical beauty is everywhere with flowers, trees, and manicured lawns. And, of course, the ocean and the white sand beach add their own special charm to the scenery.

There are so many beautiful places to hold your wedding and that, of course, also includes the over-the-water Chapel, which was specifically designed as a wedding venue.

No matter what location you choose, the natural beauty all around will provide enchanting memories and stunning videos and photographs.

I enjoyed swimming in the ocean and in the pools. The dining was fabulous with eleven restaurants. I was particularly pleased with Butch’s Chop House and Sora, the Italian Restaurant. The variety of unique bars was also impressive.

The Red Lane Spa was amazing with multiple treatments options. It is where you and your bridal party can go to have your hair, makeup and nails done for your big day. And perhaps where the two of you can get a couple’s massage to relax after all the excitement and festivities.

I was very much impressed by the people who worked at the resort. They are some of the warmest and most welcoming people I have ever met and seemed genuinely happy to be working at Sandals.

An Island Tour

St. Vincent dormant volcano

There are a lot of activities available off of the resort.

I decided to take a day-long island tour to see more of St. Vincent’s natural beauty. And I was rewarded with beauty around every turn.

We saw a dormant volcano and got black soot all over our feet.
We saw a beautiful fishing village with an amazing black sand beach.

We saw the stunning place where some of the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ movie was filmed.
We walked across a rickety bamboo bridge to visit a beautiful waterfall that some of our group swam under.
We had a delicious local lunch a in a small café served by some of the lovely local people.

It was great to be one of the first on this Island Routes tour. There are other beautiful places to explore on this island but that will require another trip.

I have always thought of St. Lucia as the most beautiful of the Caribbean Islands and the island which most reminds me of the Hawaii Islands.

But now I must say that St. Vincent is equal in beauty to its neighbor, St. Lucia, and equally reminiscent of Hawaii.

With the brand-new Sandals Resort, it has become my number one Caribbean Island to visit.
